A ritual on the Mediterranean coast
Tamarix is built around the small daily rituals that make a day feel better.
Where the name comes from
Tamarix is the name of a plant genus that runs from the Mediterranean coast into Central Asia — the tamarisk. It lives in salt and drought, carries fine feathery leaves, and moves lightly in the wind.
We took our name from it, because that was the feeling we were after: resilient without being heavy, calm without being still.
How we work
Consistency
A drink you liked tastes the same on your second visit. Recipes and measures are written down with care.
Transparency
Whatever goes into a drink is written on our digital menu. Allergen information is easy to find.
Hospitality
A considered place does not have to feel distant. This is easy enough to drop into and careful enough to come back to.
Rhythm
A morning coffee and a late-afternoon refresher are not the same thing. The menu is built to follow the shape of the day.

The room
Cream stone floors, terracotta panels and brass arches. We wanted warmth you can feel inside the room, not a decorative set piece.
We wanted it to suit working in the morning, talking in the afternoon, and a quiet break on your own before evening, equally well.
How we approach coffee
We work with single-origin beans and espresso blends. Rather than raising the count, we get to know each bean well.
Alongside them we add herbal infusions and functional blends. Someone who does not drink coffee will still find a drink of their own here.
